Marking this event shows that we still remember and will never forget what happened that day. It brings us together. We have learned to be more safe, to have more security, and to help each other. We are preventing this by raising security on all flights in or out of the united states. Pat downs, metal detectors, and the X-rays that allow security to see everything on us has made a big difference.

The marking of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the twin towers is important so the we remember what happened on that day. It is also so that we remember to be cautious of our enemies and to better protect our airports and airplanes.

September 11th, 2001, is a day many Americans will never forget. It is significant because many lives were lost when the planes crashed into the twin towers. The government felt violated because of how easily the terroists hijacked the planes. We learned how to prevent these by enforcing heavy security. This is how we learned and are trying to prevent something like this from happening again.
Austin Conrod

Marking this event shows that it may be in our past, but we will never forget the pain and torture that 9-11 caused us. As a nation it is this that makes us strong. The way that we have learned from this is our security has gotten stronger at air ports now. They take many more precautions. For example you can only bring a certain amount of liquids on planes now for the fear that they could be explosives. As citizens we may complain that these precautions are unnecessary but in the long run it is just to make sure that something like 9-11 never happens again.

This is a day that many Americans will never forget. This showed us that even one of the most powerful nations in the world can be attacked very easily. This also showed us that even if we think our security is perfect it can still be breched.

It is important to remember this event because it was one our nations darkest momments, it was a terrible thing that the people responsible paid for. But we came out of it a stronger nation. We can never forget the events of Septemmber 11th and never forget the ones we lost on that day.

We remember 9/11 for all those who lost their lives in the terrible, deadly terrorist attack. It was a horrific event that traumatized our nation. We honor those who were apart of it, and take time to appreciate the lives we have. It also is a time to appreciate our country and honor everything the United States stands for. Currently our armed forces are major tributes to helping to protect us and our country from anything like 9/11 happening again. We also take that day to give thanks to the brave people who fought for us years ago, and continue to still fight for us and protect us today.

It is important to remember 9/11 because it was the first time in history that our nation was attacked by terrorists. They flew into the twin towers causing us to lose manly lives of workers that were in the buildings, and rescue squads that went in later. It is important we remember this event to strengthen our security of the nation.

September 11, 2001 is a day most Americans, no matter what age, will never forget. 9/11 is a day that many people lost friends and family members. This is a day that many people became heros in the eyes of many. This event is significant because we were attacked on our own soil. This forced us to increase security and enter into a continuous war. Due to restricting of the intelligence agency, I believe we can predict and prevent a similar attack from reoccurring, as evidence by many attempts we have prevented since 9/11.

We will never forget the terrible day it happened. It changed our nation forever. It also made our country grow, from this experience. The significance of 9/11 is us remembering those who perished. We learned to be way more protective in flight transportation. We also enforced the safety in our nation.

The significance of 9/11 is so that we will never forget this horrible event and that we will remember all the heros on this day. And how we can keep this from happening again is by being very protective and careful in our air transportation.

The significance of marking 9/11 is to show that even though two of America's largest and most important building were destroyed, we stayed strong and became a closer country. We lost several people that day, we also gained many heroes. We have learned many things from this from who we thought was the cause to assassinating to two main leaders. We can and have prevented incidences like this. It is thanks to things as big as higher airport security and things as small as more aware and prepared civilians. Although 9/11 was a dark day, we have only gotten stronger.

Looking back at 9\11, this horrific event showed that if we let our gaurd down these things can happen even on our own soil. Since then, we as a nation have put measures in place to try and prevent these attacks from happening again. For example, airport security is more advanced, and through sirvalence we are able to stay one step ahead of terrorists movement. The signifigance is that there were many heros and loved ones lost on 9/11. We continue to remember them and honor them throughout the years.

What we have learned is that not only did we really need to overhaul our air traffic defense, but it also showed us that the Reagan-era idea of war by proxy was not good in the long term (going from the idea of the Mujahideen being great heroes against the Soviets to them aiming our own aircraft at us in less than 15 years). The attack was also a sign, showing us that being at the top doesn't make you exempt from attacks from other countries of groups, although the attacks may have raised our ignorance of other countries in the way of patriotism in overdrive.

On September 11, 2001 our country was brought together because of a tragedy. The people's immediate reactions after the fact was to have a greater focus on home/family life, there was higher church attendance, and an increase in patriotism. As a nation we should stay together not only during bad times, but through the good Tim's as well

The significance of the attacks on the twin towers is to remember all the lives lost in the towers that day. To keep the terrorists at bay we have updated airport security. We learned that air plain transportation is something that should be taken serious especially when it comes to the passengers on the plain. We can prevent this from happening again by having background checks on the people who board the plain.

The reason we remember 9 11 is to show respect for all the lives that were lost due to the crash, and also the people that risked their lives trying to save others. A way to make sure this never happens again is increased airport security, and possibly extra precautions with middle eastern people

We remember this day to show respect for those who risked their lives saving others and for families who have lost loved ones. In order to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future is to increase airport security, look for warnings, and just be more cautious over all.

We remember this day as one of sadness. Many lives were lost but we honor this day for them and especially the ones that went into the buildings to save people as they were true heroes. We can learn to be more careful which shows in how we have been trying to prevent something like this from happening again by making security a lot better.

It's important to remember 9/11 because of all the lives we lost and terror our country faced. The significance of marking this event is to show how far we have come since that day. We have made changes to make our country safer. For example, we strengthened airport security by passing the Aviation and Transportation Safety Act. In the Government, 48 bills were approved and passed after the attack dealing with security and border issues. The Government also created the Department of Homeland Security. Overall, 9/11 was a very tragic event that we must never forget; however, we need to continue to make changes to hopefully ensure nothing like this happens again.

As a whole September 11th, 2001 was an eye opener to American and the United Nations. We as americans are malinformed on how safe we really are. Hijacking a plane for a suicide mission is crazy... to an extent. These people believed in virtually the same spiritual power most of america does, but how they practice their religion is, in this perticular case, an act of terrorism soley based on the deep hate for the monopolizing, greedy country we call home. To avoid this heart-shredding display of ignorance and immorality from ever happening again we must always be vigilant and remember 9-11 forever.
Madeline Sandgren
9/11/2012 09:44:21 am
It is important to remember 9/11 because it shows what the country faced and how they handled the terrorists. It also shows respect for the people that died trying to save the lives of others like firefighters and police officers. We have learned that there are actually people out in the world that do not like the United States and our government. The government has tried preventing this more in the airports and the country borders.

Setember 11, 2001, holds a special place in the hearts of all Americans. The fateful day marks a huge part of our history and needs to be remembered because hundreds of people perished at the hands of the terrorist. Firefighters and other service men and women lost their lives trying to save those trapped by the towers. It remains essential to remember the events of that day because it united us as a country and the United States has to be prepared for anything else that may happen to our country.

Although I was not aware of it at the time, September 11th will always be a day that lives in infamy for our country. We will always remember the unfortunate circumstance that we unfortunately had and still have to endure. It has also made many changes such as airport security. They have become extremely strict and thourough in their searches, doing their best in making sure that a disaster of this magnitude never occurs again on American soil.

September 11, 2001 is a day in time Americans will never be able to live down. This day, eleven years ago, will be remember for all of the victims lives that were lost fighting for our country. Whether its today over in Iraq, firefighters who lost their lives in the 9//11 attack, or all the innocient victims who were killed on the day of the attack. Air traffic control has changed greatly along with airport security. Today's security control, enables anyone to bring anything like a gun or bomb on an airplane. This is an issue that many people have to face everyday, but since then, our country has been able to fight against another terriortist attack.

We remember September 9/11 to honor who served to help the people affected by the terrorist attack. Many people died that day and it was tragic, but it did teach the US a valuable lesson. From that day on the US upped its security in well, everywhere and now our country is much more safe.

The importance of marking the date 9-11-01 is so that we never forget all of the lives that were lost in the terrorist attacks and also all of the lives lost saving the victims of the of the attacks. It also is important in the lives of the families that lost someone in the attacks. It is something that brings us all together and want to help each other out. We have learned that we need to keep better security of airports and that you can not always protect everyone no matter how hard you try. The improved security everywhere is improving the safety and government of the United States.

I believe that the importance of marking this date shows how when in a time of crisis, our country pulls through and helps our own. It has shown us the amount of patriotism that America has and encouraged us to have stricter safety regulations with our airlines.

The significance of marking this day is so that we never forget all the men and women that died, and also all the people that helped as much as they could. We have learned that anything can happen, especially when we least expect it. We may not be able to prevent something like this, and it may happen again, but we can be more prepared with precautions. We just cannot take life for granted and that is what we learned most from September 11.

The attacks on 9/11 will always stay in the minds and hearts of all Americans. We lost so many good people in those attacks. We have also have to move on after events like this one. We are building an even taller building in the same spot. This show our ability to bounce back. We can't really prepare or stop attacks like these from happening because we will never know when they will happen.

The marking of this event shows us the loss of many innocent people's lives due to terrorism. It's also obvious that after this disastrous tragedy that we finally realized we needed to become a nation and support the families and friends of those loved ones that lost their lives on that day. To avoid this from happening less frequently we need to enforce our laws and security. But just because we enforce those things it does not guarantee us anything at all but hopefully throughout time We can see a change and not have to fear our lives so much.

When the Twin Towers had been hit by hijacked airplanes on September 11th, the nation was hit with a sudden realization about security failure. Marking it will have every individual remember the painful reality of terrorism; not just for Americans, but for everywhere around the globe. This struck government immediately and forced it to raise safety awareness in airports and the aircraft itself. The USA has already made great effort with defensive tactics such as advanced metal inspectors, more accurate luggage inspection, police K-9 searches, etc.

This week marks the horrible tragic of the terroist attack. This event is very memoriable because we lost thousands of inocent people. What we have learned from this event is that we should be prepared on evacuationg buildings and have a better way of communicating. It is very important to remember and never forget all those who lost their lives during the attack, and the bravery that some people showed during the disaster. However, it was very critical for the government to recognize flaws in security systems as well as potential for further attacks that may be avoided and procedures that may be taken during such an event.

9/11 was significant because it brought us together as a country for a while but it did not stay that way compleatly. It changed how the security is at the airport and all around the country and it has made us stronger and to be ready the next time some thing might happen like this again. Bringing down the world trade center brought us into this economic sittuation. It didnt happen right away but the terrerist knew this day would happen. Hope fully we will pick back up soon and go back to how it was.

The significance of 9/11 is to remember those who lost there lives and their familys. We learned that freedom should not be taken for granit there will always be threats from the outside. Marking this event in history shows that we as a country will never forget what happened on this day. It also shows respect for everyone who suffered from this. I think we have learned that there needs to be more security in airports to increase safety. One way of preventing this from happening again is increasing airport security. This has been done already by adding more medal detectors, pat downs, and X-ray machines.

It is important to honor all of the innocent people that died or were involved in the attack, and all of the brave people that worked to help and rescue others. It also helps us to remember that our country was affected by the terrible tragedy. We learned that there are people or groups that believe they have the right to try to destroy our country. We also learned that there are people ready to volunteer right away in situations as bad as that one was.

The commemoration of the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11th is important to both honor the lives of those who died that day, and to remember the incredible way our country came together as one. I think sometimes as Americans, we feel that our country is invincible, and 9-11 was a shocking reminder that this is not the case. It caused us to crack down on safety policies in airports, as well as more carefully monitor potential terrorist activity.

The significance of this event is the first real attack on the U.S. It changed the lives of so many people, and the country will never be the same. We must remember this so we don't ever let it happen again, but if something like it were to occur then we be ready for it. We have learned many things along the line of airport security and just the public safety in general. We cannot prevent this from happening 100%, but we will as much as we can to keep the safety of our people and country.

9/11 was one of America's most memorable tragedies and will never be forgoten about. This is an important event because it reminds us of all the lives that have been taken from the horrible experience. Now we have created and enforced new ways to check luggage and belongings to ensure safety on the airlines. Now airports use x ray scanners to help prevent this from napping again.

I was absent last week for this question but I am still going to answer it.The airport security is starting to enhance upwards which is good because protection is what we need. Our country needs to think outside the box and keep our heads held high, be aware and ready for the unexpected. Its good to see that we keep catching the highest leaders of our enemys. This event shows how well our country cares for each other even throughout the economic crisis. So many people lost their lives and sacrificed for their loved ones, and people that werent their loved ones. Comments are closed.
